The 10 x 10 challenge is over, but what a great way to learn some new styling tips and tricks! It felt so good to enjoy the simplicity of a small wardrobe for a little while. Doing challenges like this really helps me keep the important things in perspective. (If you’re looking for more info about this challenge, you can find the first blog post here). I just wanted to say another thank you to everyone who followed my posts or participated in the challenge. It was such a fun and creative way to enjoy some of my favourite pieces of clothing. I also enjoyed seeing your beautiful faces and outfits along the way! It felt good to stretch those creative muscles a little, and I’m excited to share some new styling tips with you.

In some ways, I felt like the challenge was easy. I already tend to wear the same few items over and over again. But I also found myself itching for more variety near the end of the ten days.
Styling Tips
- Tuck it in. You can really change the look of a shirt by wearing it tucked in, un-tucked, tied in a knot, etc. Check out Pinterest and youtube for inspiration on how to do this!

- Reverse it. If the front and back of your shirt or dress has a different neckline, you can wear it ‘backwards’. This gives you 2 different looks with one garment! I did this with both my Reversible Wrap Sweater and Darling Dress. Note: the dress is not technically reversible, but I think it looked totally cute worn that way too!

- Layer. You can mix and match your outfits if you have a couple of different colored cardigans in your wardrobe. Cardigans change up the style of each outfit, and make t-shirts and dresses suitable for winter wear as well. Even better if the cardigans are different styles (ie: knitted, lightweight, loose, fitted, etc).

- Accessorize. You can easily change the personality of an outfit by adding different jewelry, scarves, shoes and hair accessories. A dress can be casual when paried with comfy sneakers, a watch, and a high ponytail with a scrunchie. Or you can ‘dress up’ that same outfit with a drapey cardigan, flats, and some sparkly earrings.

I am so glad that I took this challenge, and I hope you were able to learn something new too! I’d love to hear some of your favourite tricks and tips for styling outfits in the winter, if you’d like to share them below.
